Este volume inclui, na Parte I (Os Limites do Juízo), materiais iniciais de um projecto de investigação intitulado Os limites do juízo – Frege, agentes cognitivos e pensadores humanos e, na Parte II (De um Ponto de Vista Ético), algum trabalho adicional de investigadores do Mind, Language and Action Group (MLAG).
O volume marca ainda a colaboração próxima do MLAG (Universidade do Porto) com o grupo de investigação Episteme (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela), consagrada no âmbito dos projectosOs Limites do juízo – Frege, agentes cognitivos e pensadores humanos (PTDC/FIL-FIL/109882/2009) e Actitudes cognitivas y la justificación del conocimiento (FFI2009-08828). Continuamos a ter como princípio, adoptado desde o início das nossas duas colecções FL-UP, publicar nas línguas em que trabalhamos, o que no presente volume significa, além do português, o inglês, o francês, o espanhol e o galego. Multilinguismo com o inglês como denominador comum parece-nos ser o futuro para a investigação na Europa – e congratulamo-nos com o facto de os nossos membros e colaboradores partilharem deste espírito.
This volume includes in Part I (The Bounds of Judgement) materials from the beginnings of project The Bounds of Judgement – Frege, cognitive agents and human thinkers and in Part II (From an Ethical Point of View) further work by Mind, Language and Action Group (MLAG) researchers.
The volume also marks the close collaboration of MLAG (University of Porto) with the research group Episteme (University of Santiago de Compostela), embodied in exchanges between ongoing projects The Bounds of Judgement – Frege, cognitive agents and human thinkers (PTDC/FIL-FIL/109882/2009) and Cognitive Attitudes and the Justification of Knowledge (FFI2009-08828). We stick to the principle adopted for our two collections at FL-UP of publishing texts in the languages we work in, which in this case means, besides Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Galician. We believe multilingualism with English as common denominator is the future for research in Europe, and we are very happy that this conviction is shared by all MLAG members and by all of those with work with us.
